Martel, Inc. was established in 1984 to fill a need for professional telephone equipment and service that was more responsive to the needs of this area. Since then, Martel has grown to be one of the region's largest locally owned telecommunications companies.

It's client base includes major utility companies automobile dealerships, and offices of the State of Delaware. Headquartered in Dover, Delaware, Martel, Inc. serves the Delmarva peninsula with its own parts warehouse and service facility.

Martel, Inc. takes a methodical approach to all telephone systems and structured cabling systems that it installs. The site is surveyed in conjunction with the customer to determine all requirements, and any special needs of the customer. Martel, Inc. then begins the installation portion of the job. We install the system equipment or cable and terminate same, following all applicable standards and using a high level of craftsmanship. Cable is supported by proper hangers, tray, or hooks. Bundles are routed neatly. Labeling is done to industry standards. All testing and certification is done to EIA/TIA Standards. Our forte’ is performing work in existing buildings with customers present.

We work unobtrusively and try to accommodate all customer requirements. Our goal is to achieve our customer’s requirements and have a long-term relationship. On all telephone system installs, we commonly “clean up” the customer’s wiring. We fix telephone outlets, remove old wires and straighten out the main area where the telephone wiring is terminated. We do this to make it easier for our employees to perform their duties and to show the customer what a proper installation should look like. This makes for better service to the customer in the future as it makes the site consistent in appearance with our other installs, and allows any of our technicians to perform any change or repair quickly.
